This post is the last entry in a series of posts entitled ‘Living the Thai Life’!

There you will not only find the journal of my time in Thailand but also details of all the travel which led me to Thailand and some insight into why, in 2012, I decided to change the direction of my life.
Thanks for your interest!
For those of you who have followed my blog right from the start, from way back in 2012, you will know that after a few years of exploring this planet, I serendipitously ended up in Chiang Mai. I have already left and returned to this town more times than I care to remember. For the most part, it’s been due to visa regulations, BUT, for whatever reason, it’s always good to land back here, watching the square shape of the moat that surrounds the old town come into view through the aircraft window.
Since July 2015 my blog has been entitled ‘Living The Thai Life’. More often than not, it’s been a regular photo diary of my life in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The occasional updates from pastures new also make an appearance too. Having a blog made sure I had a bunch of photos to share, and that meant keeping my eyes open. To notice, and capture, all those wonderful details that made living in Thailand different from the place I’ve lived for the majority of my life. England. It’s easy to take for granted the things you see every day!
During the 4 months of traveling around Europe this year, I decided my blog should change direction, at least in the short term. For now, I feel I’ve taken full photographic advantage of Chiang Mai. I’m no longer a ‘tourist’ here, in the truest sense of the word. I am a visitor though, and this visit has afforded me time to really contemplate how I want to live out the rest of my time. As such, I hardly recognise the life I once lived although, it must be said, I’m grateful for all of it as it has stood me in good stead and makes me realise just how lucky I am!
So, whilst I contemplate exactly what I should share with you during my time in Chiang Mai, I’ve decided to buy myself some time and keep my December update short. January 2018 will be something new…I think!
If any of you have ideas for my future blogs I’m open to suggestions!
In the meantime, here’s a quick recap of December…
December was about socialising and live performances, starting with The Dark Horse Theatre’s thrilling ‘sold out’ production of The Last Supper.
Global Harmonies wowed and lifted us with harmonious Christmas songs.
And the music just kept on coming. Just like it always does in Chiang Mai. Jo will you ever stand still long enough for me to get a sharp photo of you!!?
And sometimes the music came with food, courtesy of The Pink House

Plus festive shopping at NAP (Nimmanhaemin Art & Design Promenade).
Then there were the quieter moments too. A walk to the temple with friends on Christmas morning and opening a delivery of my own design t-shirt!
And the grand finale for the year from the comfort of home!
Happy New Year!!
Here’s to a fabulous 2018 for you all!
